Geordie Zhang is a Research Data Specialist for the Melbourne Data Analytics Platform (MDAP), part of the Petascale Campus Initiative at the University of Melbourne. He previously worked as an Informatics Specialist in the University’s Social and Cultural Informatics Platform (SCIP) where he worked as part of the SOCEY team, as well as providing advice for other SOCEY-related projects, particularly Schooling Memories. He has expertise in digital HASS IT; research cloud computing and high-performance computing (HPC); research data management; data wrangling and visualisation; and research administration, research management database systems, and reporting. He is also currently completing a PhD in Engineering at Victoria University, and has research interests in telecommunication networks, network information theory, network analysis and computational social sciences.
