Dr Babak Dadvand is a research fellow at the Youth Research Centre and a lecturer at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, the University of Melbourne. Babak’s research is in areas of social justice, and diversity, especially in relation to young people in educational settings. The research examines the processes that exclude and marginalise groups of young people on the basis of an intersection of factors such as socio-economic status, (dis)ability, gender, sexuality, and ethnicity. Babak also works across a suite of Australian Research Council linkage projects including Determining Implementation Drivers in Resilience Education (Project ID: LP160100428), led by Professor Helen Cahill, and Multicultural Youth Australia (Project ID: LP150100291), led by Professor Johanna Wyn.
